Ashley Greene’s former building manager claims a crack pipe was found at the scene after her West Hollywood apartment was destroyed by a fire in March last year.
Adrian Mayorga, who is suing the Twilight star for alleged permanent respiratory damage, said in a sworn deposition that one of the men who had helped with the cleanup told him he had found a glass crack pipe in the unit, according to TMZ.

Greene, her boyfriend at the time – alleged to be actor Ryan Phillippe – and her brother were reportedly sleeping in the apartment on March 22 when an unattended candle set a living room couch ablaze.

Tragedy: Greene, Ryan Phillippe and her brother were reportedly sleeping in the apartment on March 22 when an unattended candle set a living room couch ablaze

The blaze tore through Green’s entire apartment and killed one of her two fox terrier dogs.
Mayorga said in his deposition, obtained by TMZ, that he was the first person in the hallway after the fire broke out, and claimed he saw Greene and her companions looking ‘disoriented’ as they fled the apartment.
He added: ‘The only people I saw getting treated was Ashley Greene, her brother Joe Green, and her – the current boyfriend, Ryan Phillippe.’

Fire casualty: Greene holding her dog Theo and left, her other fox terrier Marlo. Only one of the animals survived the blaze, although it is not clear which one
But sources tell TMZ that Phillippe submitted a sworn declaration to Greene’s lawyer this week insisting he wasn’t in the apartment when the fire broke out and had in fact never even visited the unit.
Mayorga claimed in court documents filed last year that he was hurt while running through smoky hallways of the apartment building yelling for residents to flee.
He alleged that he suffered exhaustion, dehydration and smoke inhalation and also was hospitalised, according to TMZ.
Greene also has been sued by four residents in neighbouring units who claim the fire caused soot and water damage.
Sources also tell the website that actor Ryan Phillippe – Greene’s alleged boyfriend at the time – has denied claims he was present the night of the fire, the actor pictured earlier this month in NYC

Meanwhile, the apartment was finally sold in July for $1.1 million following some serious renovations costing $303,000, according to TMZ.

TMZ reports that the building HOA’s insurance covered a complete remodel of the 1,800 sq ft apartment to help shift it, although by law the new residents had to be made aware of the incident

Ashley heeft een vragenuurtje gehad met fans op de Facebookpagina van Entertainment Weekly gisteren. Hieronder de transcripyt van alle vragen die gesteld zijn :) met dank aan Ashley Greene Central.

Wish I Was Here Hi! I’m “here” (get it?!) to answer your questions…let’s get started!

Peggy Simuyuni: How different is the feeling of working on an indie film as compared to a big budget movie for you?
Hi Peggy – working on WIWH is different than a studio film and most indies since it was funded by his fans (thank you guys!) on Kickstarter, which gave Zach full creative freedom. That really set the tone. Everyone was really excited about being there and making the best film possible for you guys. Apart from that, most indie films are just a lot more intimate feeling.

Malena Srur Ashley: would you like to make a period movie piece, old hollywood and stuff? Would you like to prove luck in tv again, like HBO?
I would LOVE to do a period piece! I think there is something very romantic about them. It’s also nice to be able to entertain as well as educate people about that moment in time. Having the opportunity to work on television, as well as film would be the dream. The face of television has really changed in such a positive way.

Ashley heeft een interview gehad met Marie Claire over Oakley, het sportmerk waar zij momenteel het gezicht van is.

Kudos to Oakley for calling out all those women who buy the newest and trendiest sportswear to hmm, let’s see: shop, lounge around, and maybe hit a Starbucks, but don’t actually workout. You know who you are. In their latest female-driven campaign “Made for More,” Oakley has tapped one of Hollywood’s fittest actresses, Ashley Greene, to spearhead the initiative. Why? Because she is the Oakley girl—cool, smart, competitive, and gets her ass to the gym. Recently in town to run the women-only Oakley New York Mini 10K, Ashley took a breather and chatted with Marie Claire about her lifestyle, go-to playlist, and how she got that body because, well, damn.

So how’d you hook up with Oakley, of all sports brands?
It was something we kind of stumbled upon because I initially went to Bali with them to go on a surf trip that I luckily got invited to, and I just had such a blast and really got on with everyone from Oakley and all the athletes. They were like, “You know, you really fit in with what Oakley is about—you should maybe represent us….”

That’s so cool! So you were like, “Hell ya?”
Of course, I was super excited about it! For me, if I’m going to put my name behind something and be a representative, I want it to be organic and I want it to kind of match my lifestyle. I think that my beliefs and Oakley’s are very similar. They completely support women empowerment and always challenging yourself, going to that next level. They have an extremely positive message about having an active, healthy lifestyle. So for me it was kind of a perfect match.

The night before she was to take her place as the only celebrity in a 10K race, Ashley Greene had a small confession to make: “I’m not much of a runner,” she said, laughing. “You know, I love doing different workouts, so I was totally down to do this, but this is not something that comes easy to me.”

Thankfully, if there was ever a time to lace up, it would be now. The Oakley New York Mini 10K is the world’s original women-only road race, intended to empower women (and girls!) of all ages to be active. “It’s such a good message and a really good cause,” Ashley explained. “And it’s really great to try something new.”

In fact, the Twilight star is no stranger to the world of fitness. She attributes her lean, athletic frame to “hopping around” between workouts in Los Angeles, including the Tracy Anderson Method, kickboxing, and more. “I get bored really easily, so I need to mix it up,” she explained. “In high school, I did everything: competitive martial arts, swim and dive, and competitive cheer and dance. Those are all tough sports! So from a young age, I was active.”

But that didn’t necessarily mean she was 10K-ready. “I’ve been working with a trainer, Jason Walsh. He’s very in tune with movement and making sure the body is moving correctly. I basically had to re-program my body so I was engaging the proper muscles,” she said. “I didn’t realize it before I started, but my quads were really tight! It was because I wasn’t really paying attention to my body. So we’ve reversed that, for sure.”

And true to her spirit, she’s not following the traditional route of running multiple miles. “I got myself in shape doing different things, but the great part is, no day is the same. One day will be strength training, the next I’ll be running on a 30% incline, but it’s always something new and exciting. It pushes me!” she said. “The most I’ve ever run in a day is probably three miles—doing the six or eight mile thing can take a serious toll on your body.”

Not to mention, as any exercise fanatic knows, it also does a number on your skin. “I sweat a lot,” she admitted. “But I wash my face morning and night and I always keep facial towelettes in my car so I can touch up during the day. Honestly, though, your body detoxes with sweat. So if you continue to eat not-so-great foods and drink sugary drinks, that will all come out when you exercise, but it might cause you to break out. I’ve had to adjust my diet to be as clean as possible with lots of fish, chicken, and vegetables.”

There is one thing sweat won’t get through, however. “I don’t wear makeup to the gym because I would just feel weird,” she said. “But I’m still a girl! So I wear L’Oréal Paris Voluminous Mascara. I’ve been using it for years.”

And while we’re on the topic of girly things, she also packed two pairs of sneakers just in case. “I’m thinking the grey and yellow ones,” she said. It looks like they served her well! Check her out at the race below.

Ashley heeft een interview gehad met grindtv.com over haar advies om het beste te herstellen van een 10km loop.

Actress Ashley Greene might be running her first 10k this weekend (the Oakley NYMini) in Central Park, but she’s no stranger to working up a sweat. In fact, when we asked Greene to weigh in on how she handles recovery after a hard training session, she gamely identified two key components: stretching and hydration.

Greene describers herself as “competitive and stubborn,” with an “I can do anything” attitude when it comes to fitness. But when it came to fighting regular pain and stiffness in her quad, due in part to an unfortunate femur break when she was 12 that created scar tissue, Greene, with the advice of her trainer, mandated regular stretching and the use of a roller. “Not stretching causes injuries and strain,” Greene says. “Pain and frustration are great motivators.” Three of Greene’s favorite post-workout stretches are aimed at areas that need the extra attention: opening her hip flexors and groin, her quads, and her calves. And as for that roller, the actress adds, “The roller is my best friend. It’s painful, but it guarantees that I’ll sleep better if I use it right before bed.”

Prior to race day, Greene knows to avoid foods that can dehydrate her, like asparagus, which the actress loves. “I’m a huge water advocate, but taking in too much water is actually a negative,” says Greene, who regularly keeps hydrated with coconut water and electrolyte drinks like Gatorade. On race day, her plan is to take advantage of the aid stations, keeping her thirst quenched as she runs.

Because having a good recovery plan is vital to an athlete’s success post-race, we connected with Kim Mueller, a full-time registered dietitian and board-certified specialist in sports dietetics (she does not work with Greene), and asked her to weigh in on some best practices for an active recovery. This is what she shared.
